CH·01·WHY WE EXIST
Laboratories deserved better than a pharma hand-me-down.
Most quality software was built for pharmaceutical manufacturing and then sold sideways to everyone else. Testing and calibration labs got tools that had never heard of a z-score, an uncertainty budget or an impartiality register — at prices that assumed a Fortune 500 quality department would be doing the clicking.
So labs did what labs do: they engineered around it. Binders, spreadsheets, shared drives, heroic quality managers who carry the whole system in their heads. It works, right up until the assessment letter arrives — and then it costs three weekends and a small fortune in cortisol.
RainerQMS is our answer: a quality management system written in the native language of the laboratory, priced so the entire lab can use it, and engineered so the evidence assembles itself. Boring on assessment day. That's the goal.

If only QA can afford a seat, the QMS is fiction. Pricing and UX both answer to this rule.

We don't say "robust" and "seamless"; we show the clause table and the audit trail. Marketing included.

Automate the consequence, not the judgment.
The system opens the quality event when a calibration fails. A human decides what it means.

A quality system should cost less than the nonconformity it prevents. Ours does, by a wide margin.

Be auditable ourselves.
Honest status pages, a public disclosure policy, a DPA you can actually read. We hold our own standard.
